Prom: Student dance, a formal dance for high-school or college students, usually held at the end of the school year.
Eric went to his first school dance. He went with a girl who hangs out with his group, she actually asked him! They went with a group of friends and had a good time. He doesn't date really, he tells us he won't be marrying any of these girls, so why waste time and money on them now?
